Age Relaxation:
Age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PwBD / Ex-servicemen categories as per Government rules. Internal candidates are eligible for age relaxation up to a maximum of 56 years. Ex-servicemen with at least six months of continuous service can deduct their service period from their actual age; if the resulting age doesn’t exceed the maximum by more than three years, they are deemed to satisfy the age limit. Important Notes on Educational Qualification For GRSE Recruitment 2025
- For Design Assistant (S-2), Supervisor (S-2), Supervisor (S-3), Supervisor (FT)(S-3), and Supervisor (FT)(S-4) grades, candidates with higher qualifications than essential can apply, but they must possess the required essential qualification.
- For Supervisor (S-1), Design Assistant (S-1), Engine Technician (S1), Design Assistant (FT)(S-1), and Supervisor (FT)(S-1) grades, candidates with higher qualifications than the required essential qualification should not apply; their candidature will be rejected.
- Specific groupings of disciplines for Diploma in Engineering are defined, and only mentioned disciplines will be considered; equivalence will not be accepted.
- The date of declaration of result/issuance of mark sheet is considered the date of acquiring the qualification.
- Final year students for Supervisor (S-1), Design Assistant (S-1), Engine Technician (S1), Design Assistant (FT)(S-1), and Supervisor (FT)(S-1) posts may apply but must produce the final marksheet at the time of document verification.
- For Defence Service Personnel, Diplomas acquired before joining Defence forces from government-recognized boards, or diplomas awarded by Training Institutes/Schools of Armed Forces after prescribed training will be considered equivalent. Certificates stating equivalent qualification to Degree or Diploma on completion of service years will not be considered at par with university/institution awarded degrees/diplomas.

The selection process for the GRSE Recruitment 2025 primarily involves a Written Test and a Practical (Trade) Test.
